Gorse Hall Primary School – BEE

Last year in May, I did some drone footage for a local school, but due to the headmistress panicking over GDPR I was never allowed to share the images but she’s now had a change of heart after realising how much she overreacted, the kids saw the video in Assembly and apparently they still talk about the day the guy came with the drone and made it fun 🙂
The footage was in remembrance for the bomb attack in Manchester at the Ariane Grande concert.

We had a great day, the children were so well bahaved and listened to what we told them regarding Drone safety and rules.
When I spoke to the staff this year they had lost the original DVD we made for them, so we have recovered some of the data from our old backups and put them on a new DVD this week. I am hoping we get permission to share the videos, for now here are a couple of images where no faces can be made out, so were safe to share 🙂

Out in our snow covered countryside.

Here in Manchester, England we had a bit of snowfall this week, so I took a bit of time off work to fly the drone over it. I managed to fly at Harsthead Pike without issue, but at Dovestones it was too windy to get the drone up unfortunately so I just took some photos instead.

Wales in May 2018

Earlier this year my partner and I visited some beautiful parts of Wales, including Portmeirion and Barmouth. We took both drones for the Aerial Photography and got some lovely footage as the weather was not too bad for us.
I thought I’d share it with you and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did 🙂

Sunset over Droylsden (August 2018)

I took the drone up on this day as the weather had been gorgeous, with no clouds in the sky, but as the sun fell out of the sky at the end of the day, the cloud formations came, and they looked stunning, it wasn’t until I got the drone in the air I realised how nice the sky looked – I did some photos and videos, for now here is a 16 shot panorama of the sunset over Manchester.

Birthday weekend in Wales

It was my Birthday on the 18th of July, so on the weekend we decided to have a few days in Wales and see some more of the beautiful Welsh scenery.
We visited Bala, Porthmadog, Ffestiniog (on the train and by car), Criccieth, Ruthin and various other places in-between.
On the way to Porthmadog, our first stay we called in to some fisheries we have visited before, and had lunch, we met a lovely older couple called Barry & Sue and ended up chatting for ages to them  – It’s always nice to meet new people and learn about them (there was no space for them to sit when they arrived so we invited them to our table, a nice habit we have, and it has made us some great friends here and in Asia, you should try it 🙂 )

Here are a few photos and then a 9 minute video of the journey, from the train, the car, the drone and the DSLR.

Audenshaw 360° Test into WordPress

I’ve not added any 360° photos here before as they were impossible to get into WordPress, but now, thanks to Kuula, I can add them to my Blog, which means you can have them in your blogs and pages as part of my Web Design through my work (www.mobilepcrescue.co.uk)

Fires on Stalybridge Moors

As many of you know, there are fires on the moors over Stalybridge, all around Carrbrook. I tried to get some photos today but the Police were there stopping people, which is really a good thing as it keeps us safe. I didn’t manage to fly the drone either as there are helicopters all around dropping water, so I obviously wanted to ensure that my drone was not in anyone’s way, so it was grounded. I may try again tomorrow from a different location.
For now here are some photos of the area and some photos of the surrounding areas.
If you do go to try and see the fire, please keep the roads safe and park out of the way so any emergency vehicles can get through. Stay Safe!

Final days of demolition at Ray Mill, Stalybridge.

Over the past few weeks I have been filming the demolition of Ray Mill for Lord Demolition from Oldham. It’s been great to see the professionals drop a fire damaged mill, and it’s also been upsetting as I worked there when Warmshield had it. I have literally hours of video …
